Description

This product is a cement-based self-leveling mortar, used for precise internal floor leveling before laying various types of finishes (such as liquid tiles, composite flooring, vinyl flooring, micro-cement, etc.), and also for repairing, smoothing and leveling existing concrete surfaces.

Applications

• As a final finish, but surface sealant must be used immediately for treatment.

Usage Method

Surface Treatment

• The substrate must be solid and free of obvious cracks (if there are cracks, repairthem in advance).
• Before construction, ensure that the substrate is swept clean and free of grease,surface laitance, paint, dust and any other contaminants that may affect the ad-hesion of the product.
• The substrate should have roughness and texture, or have dusting or be loose.Tim Mortel primer needs to be used to brush and seal the substrate to ensurebetter adhesion between the mortar and the substrate, especially when dealingwith old or smooth surfaces.
• Seal all cracks or holes that may lead to material loss, and stick tape on the wallto prevent contamination.

Product Preparation and Construction

• In a clean container, add 6.5 to 7.0 liters of clean water to every 25-kilogram bagof self-leveling mortar and mix.
• Use a concrete mixer or an electric drill with a mixer attachment to stir at a lowspeed for about 4 minutes until a uniform and flowing mixture is obtained. Letthe mixture stand for 2- 3 minutes to allow the additives to fully work and reduceair bubbles. Stir briefly again before construction.The pot life of the mixture is about 25 minutes at 20℃.
• The lower the tempera-ture, the longer the pot life, and vice versa. If the mixture thickens, it can bestirred again, but no more water should be added.
• Immediately pour the mixture continuously onto the prepared substrate (eithermechanically or manually), and use a scraper to levelit to the required thickness.
• For a better finish effect, use a spiked roller for operation to eliminate the shrink-age cracks and the air bubbles remaining in the mixture.
• It is recommended to carry out curing for at least 24 hours after construction.
• Expansionjoints should be set in large-area regions, or the original expansionjoints should be retained.
• The construction of the final finish layer should comply with the drying time: for athickness not exceeding 10 mm, the finish construction can be carried out after 24 hours; for thicker coatings, the shortest drying time is 72 hours.
• Clean all used tools with water before the product residue hardens.

Recommendations

• When handling any chemical products, necessary personal protective equipment(PPE) should be worn for appropriate protection.
• The product is non-flammable.
• The recommended amount of water must be added accurately, and not based onfeeling, otherwise it will lead to changes in product performance.
• This product must not be mixed with any other products without prior testing.
• After construction, avoid high temperature or air flow to prevent the surface fromdrying too quickly.
• It is not recommended to use the product in climatic conditions where the temperatureis lower than 5℃ or higher than 35℃.
• This product is not recommended for outdoor environments and heavy traffic areas.
