Description

This product is a two-component water-based epoxy intermediate coat formulated with high-strength water-based epoxy resin and a curing agent as binders, combined with high-quality inorganic mineral aggregates such as quartz sand and quartz powder. It offers excellent filling and self-leveling properties, making it ideal for filling depressions, cracks, and voids in the floor surface. By increasing the overall thickness of the floor, it provides enhanced mechanical strength and impact resistance.

Advantages

  • Precise leveling and thickening: With a wide range of application thicknesses (from 0.5 mm to several millimeters in a single application), it effectively smooths out rough concrete surfaces, providing a level substrate for the topcoat.
  • High strength and crack resistance: The aggregates bond tightly with the resin, resulting in excellent compressive strength and wear resistance after curing, and the material is resistant to cracking.
  • High-efficiency application: Suitable for large-area trowel application, with a daily coverage of 1,000–1,500 square meters.

Applications

  • Suitable for applications requiring leveling, thickening, or increased load-bearing capacity.
  • Floor Leveling and Filling: Applied over the primer to fill in localized imperfections in the floor.
  • Industrial flooring: Provides a level, sturdy subfloor for wood flooring, tiles, carpet, PVC rubber flooring, epoxy coatings, and more.
  • Load-bearing flooring: Can be used directly as a reinforcing layer for wear-resistant flooring that requires a certain thickness.

Note

During construction, the strength of the foundation concrete must be C20 or higher. It is recommended to conduct spot tests based on the actual ground conditions.

Instructions for Use

  • Suitable for dry indoor environments.
  • Surface preparation: Ensure that the primer is completely dry, and inspect and repair any defects on the primer surface.
  • Apply a special primer (1–2 coats) to seal the pores in the substrate and enhance adhesion.

Product Preparation and Installation

  • Mixing and Blending: Mix the water-based epoxy intermediate coat base (Component A) and hardener (Component B) in the specified ratio, then add an appropriate amount of quartz sand or quartz powder (e.g., A:B:quartz sand = 4:1:3). Mechanically stir for 5–10 minutes until a uniform slurry with no dry powder remains is formed.
  • Working time: The mixed slurry must be used within 60–90 minutes.
  • Application and De-airing: Use a notched trowel or putty knife to apply the slurry evenly to the substrate. Wear spiked shoes while working, and use a de-airing roller or T-bar to remove air bubbles, ensuring a smooth surface.

Features

  • Appearance: The base paint is a uniform, fluid substance in light gray or off-white; when aggregate is added, it takes on a mortar-like consistency.
  • Recommended thickness: 0.5 mm to 3 mm per application (multiple layers may be applied as needed).
  • Compressive strength: 60–80 MPa after 28 days.
  • Traffic access: The next coat of finish can be applied within 12 hours; light traffic is permitted after 24 hours.

Packaging and Storage

  • Packaging: Each component is typically packaged in 20–25 kg drums.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Best before 12 months.
