Description
This product is a two-component water-based epoxy sealer primer, meticulously formulated using high-quality water-based epoxy resin and a special water-based curing agent as the primary base materials, supplemented with a highly effective penetrating agent and various additives. With water as the dispersing medium, the product has extremely low VOC content, minimal odor, and excellent environmental performance. Immediately after mixing, it exhibits excellent flow and penetration properties, allowing it to rapidly penetrate the concrete substrate and react chemically with it to form a dense, tough undercoat.
Advantages
- Superior Penetration and Sealing: Effectively seals concrete capillaries to prevent the migration of ground moisture and alkaline substances, thereby preventing blistering and peeling of subsequent coatings, and providing excellent adhesion.
- Highly adaptable to various environments: It can be applied on slightly damp surfaces, has relatively lenient requirements for substrate moisture content, and the application tools are easy to clean. It is non-flammable and non-explosive, ensuring a high level of safety.
- One-way breathability: Allows moisture from within the concrete to escape, preventing coating defects caused by moisture buildup, while maintaining a barrier against external liquids.
Applications
- Suitable for priming and sealing all types of indoor and outdoor concrete floors—whether new or old—as well as terrazzo and cement mortar floors. Widely used in factory and commercial flooring coating systems where high standards of environmental protection and cleanliness are required, such as in the electronics, food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, as well as in parking lots and warehouses.
Note
- During construction, the strength of the foundation concrete must meet certain standards. Newly poured concrete floors must be fully cured before construction can begin.
Instructions for Use
- Suitable for indoor dry or semi-dry environments.
- Surface Preparation: Use a grinder to thoroughly remove loose dust, oil stains, and loose particles from the floor, ensuring the surface is solid and clean.
- Apply a special primer (1–2 coats) to seal the pores in the substrate and enhance adhesion.
Product Preparation and Installation
- Mixing Ratio: Mix Component A (base coat) and Component B (hardener) strictly according to the recommended ratio—for example, a 4:1 weight ratio—and add an appropriate amount of water (typically no more than 10%) to adjust the viscosity. Stir mechanically for 3–5 minutes until a uniform, milky-white paste forms.
- Application window: The mixed slurry must be used within 1 hour (depending on the ambient temperature) to prevent an increase in viscosity from affecting penetration.
- Application method: Apply evenly using a roller or spray. For porous or highly absorbent surfaces, it is recommended to apply two coats to ensure complete coverage.
Features
- Appearance: The base coat is a milky white liquid that cures to form a transparent or translucent film.
- Theoretical coverage: approximately 8–12 square meters per kilogram per coat (based on a dry film thickness of 30 microns).
- Drying time: Touch-dry in approximately 1–3 hours; fully cured in approximately 6–8 hours (at 25°C).
- Traffic access: Once the primer coat has dried, proceed to apply the intermediate coat.
Packaging and Storage
- Packaging: Each component is typically supplied in 20-kg drums (total for Components A and B), sealed.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Best before 12 months.
